Project Instructions
    Getting Started:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured Liquid Polymer Clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately. - Stir Liquid Sculpey® completely. Thin with Sculpey® Liquid Clay Softener as needed - Wash hands after use (we have found that baby wipes work best)

    Baking:
•It is important to use oven thermometer when you bake the liquids so that you can ensure your oven is at the correct temperature.•Do not microwave the liquids. They must be baked in a Preheated oven at 275 ºF (130 ºC) for liquid colors and 300 ºF (149 ºC) for Clear – Do not exceed baking temperatures.•If your piece is less than 1/4” bake for 15 minutes. For thicker pieces that are 1/4” or above bake for 30 minutes. •If your liquid project has become yellowed or discolored in the oven, when you remake it, tent it by placing either – folding an index card in half and placing your project under it or by using aluminum foil over your project.
Stir a generous amount of glitter shapes into Sculpey Clear Medium.
Pour into Cube sections of the Sculpey 3D Mold. Bake for 20 minutes at 300F.
Cool and apply Sculpey Gloss Glaze. Pierce a pilot hole at center bottom of cube.
Add eye screws, chain and ear wires.

Tips Before Starting Your Project

Before getting started on your Liquid Sculpey® Sparkle Cube Earrings, always make sure your work area is covered with disposable foil, a metal baking sheet, wax paper or the Sculpey Tools™ Oven-Safe Work Mat. 

Thin your Liquid Sculpey® with Liquid Clay Softener as needed and stir completely before use. Use baby wipes to wash hands after using clay, as well as between uses if working with different colors.

We recommend investing in an oven thermometer to ensure your oven is set to the correct temperature before baking. Other baking tips to consider before starting your project include:

  • Do not exceed baking temperatures or microwave the liquids.
  • Liquid colors must be baked in a preheated oven at 275 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Liquid Sculpey® Clear must be baked at 300 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  • Bake for 15 minutes if your piece is less than 1/4 inch.
  • Bake for 30 minutes if your piece is 1/4 inch or above. 


Polymer Clay Cube Earrings Project Instructions 

To make a pair of sparkly earrings with Liquid Sculpey®, follow these five steps:

  1. Stir a substantial amount of glitter shapes into the Sculpey® Clear Medium.
  2. Pour combined mixture into the Sculpey Tools™ Oven-Safe Molds' cube sections. 
  3. Bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes and let cool.
  4. Apply Sculpey® Gloss Glaze. At the bottom center of the cube, make a pilot hole. 
  5. Add ear wires, chain and eye screws. 

Always store your polymer clay jewelry after you're done crafting to keep your pieces free from dust and damage. We suggest storing your creations in resealable sandwich bags, since clay can dissolve other plastics.
