Project Instructions
Do not use unbaked clay on unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 °F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per ¼" (6 mm) thickness. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be completed by an adult. Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by running it through the clay dedicated pasta machine several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
Roll out clay to approximately 1/8" thick. Set up your stamper with the phrase that you would like to imprint in the clay. Press stamp firmly into clay (with or without ink). Use the wavy circle cutter to cut out around the words. Make sure to center the words in the circle.
Roll out thin sheets of white and black clay.
Cut out the wedding dress from white sheet of clay.Decorate the wedding dress with a sash by making a thin white stripe. Place the stripe across the waist and gently press 3 small rhinestones into it.
Cut out the tuxedo from the black sheet of clay. Cut out a small narrow triangle of white to create a shirt and press it into the tuxedo. Make a tiny black bow tie to add to the shirt. Use the craft knife to make the triangle fit on the tuxedo.
Gently press the dress and tuxedo onto the sides of the tag.
Use the toothpick to poke a hole above the words. Make sure to make it large enough to fit the ribbon through. Bake according to manufacturer's instructions.
