Project Instructions
- Getting Started:
Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.
- Baking:
From 1/2 oz. of Lemonade shape a teardrop shape for the body and two (2) little teardrop shaped wings. From extra Just Orange shape four (4) little teardrop toes and a small teardrop beak.
Push the wings onto the sides of the body. Press the toes onto the bottom. Press the beak onto the front of the face and push a smile in with the scoop tool. Add the seed bead eyes
From extra Granny Smith shape three (3) little leaves for the top of the head. Press veins into the leaves with the toothpick
From extra Violet make a rose. To make a rose, make a log then flatten it. Then roll the log up into a rose shape.
Position the rose on the top of the chick’s head. Insert an eye pin into the chick’s head. Bake according to the baking instructions and allow to cool completely.
