Create a cool and glittery headband in just a few minutes using Sculpey III®, cutters and a plain headband!
TIME TO COMPLETION: 45 minutes
ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES
- Black plastic headband
- Glue gun
- Ear templates (or draw your own)
- 3/4” Flower cutter
- Clay knife
Project Instructions
Condition ½ block of Black Glitter clay. Run this through the clay machine on the #1 setting.
Place the ear template on your clay sheet and cut out two Black Glitter ears. Smooth the edges with your fingertips.
Condition ½ block of Pink Glitter clay. Run this through the clay machine on the #3 setting. Place your inner ear template on your clay sheet and cut out two inner ear pieces. Smooth the edges with your fingertips. Press the Pink inner ear onto the center of each Black ear. Set aside.
Place the ear template on your clay sheet and cut out two Black Glitter ears. Smooth the edges with your fingertips.
Condition ½ block of Pink Glitter clay. Run this through the clay machine on the #3 setting. Place your inner ear template on your clay sheet and cut out two inner ear pieces. Smooth the edges with your fingertips. Press the Pink inner ear onto the center of each Black ear. Set aside.
Roll quarter sized balls of the following colors: Yellow, White, String Bean.
Run each of these colors through the clay machine on the #2 setting.
Use the larger ¾” flower cutter and cut out two larger flowers from your White sheet of clay.
Use the small Premo! Flower cutter and cut out four small flowers from your Yellow sheet of clay.
Use the Premo! Leaf cutter and cut out four leaf shapes from your String Bean sheet of clay.
Use your 5 in 1 tool and create lines defining each petal on the white flowers. Curl up the edges of the petals slightly.
Roll two small Yellow balls and press them in the center of each flower.
Use the rounded end of your 5 in 1 tool and press gently in the center of each Yellow flower to make them into more of a cup shape. Roll four tiny Pink Glitter balls and press them in the centers of the Yellow flowers.
Use the pointed end of the 5 in 1 tool to make center veins down each leaf shape.
Run each of these colors through the clay machine on the #2 setting.

Bake all pieces at 275 degrees for 15 minutes. Allow to cool.
Use your hot glue gun to glue the Black ears on the right and left sides of the headband.
Glue the larger White flowers in the center of each ear. Glue a little Yellow cup flower on either side of the White flowers. Lastly glue a Green leaf on either side of the Yellow flowers for each ear.
