Project Instructions
Getting Started:Polymer clay may stain. CLAY MAY DAMAGE UNPROTECTED FURNITURE OR FINISHED SURFACES. DO NOT USE polymer clay on unprotected surfaces. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Work ‘n Bake Clay Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275°F (130 °C) for 30 minutes per ¼" (6 mm) thickness. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be completed by an adult. Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by running it through the Clay Conditioning Machine for several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
To make the Smiley EmojiMake a large Mango disk and flatten it. Make two tiny Pink teardrop shapes for each eye. Press two together side by side so they look like a heart. Flatten the heart shape and place for an eye. Repeat with the other eye. Add a simple smiling mouth.
Instructions-Rainbow PooMake little ropes of equal amounts of White, Grape, Blue, Lime, Mango, Pink, and Orange
Surround the White rope with all the other color ropes. Roll and twist the color rope until it is about 3/8” thick
Cut off a piece of the twisted rope and shape it into a cone. Roll a taper at one end of the rope. Starting at the tip of the cone, place the taper of the rope and wrap the rope around the cone working down toward the bottom. Cover the entire cone with the coil.
Add White eyes and mouth. Add Black pupils to the eyes
Instructions-Poo:Roll Brown into a long rope, thicker on one end, and tapered on the other. Flatten the thick end so it has a bottom it can stand on.
Hold the tapered tip and twist it between your fingers so that it starts turning. Keep twisting the brown so that it spirals around itself.
Add White for eyes and a mouth. Add Black pupils.
Bake the emojis at 275 for 20 minutes.
