Project Instructions
- Getting Started:
Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.
- Baking:
Begin by conditioning 1/8 of each of the small bars of Red, Yellow, and Blue. Shape them into little rods about 2.5” long.
Press the rods together sides touching with your fingertips.
Bend all three colors at the same time to form a rainbow shape.
Bend a flexible piece of black wire, approximately 3” long, into a circle around the end of the ball shaped tool. Wrap the wire around the ball until it creates a circle that has more than one loop.
Push the looped circle into the top of the rainbow shape allowing half of it to stick out the top. The loop will hold most securely if the ends of the wire are buried into the clay.
Decide how tall you want your rainbow to be and trim away the excess with the knife shaped tool.
From White make clouds in different shapes.
Add some of the clouds across the bottom of the front of the rainbow.
Add clouds across the bottom of the back of the rainbow.
Add as many clouds as you like so they look fun and fluffy.
Bake the rainbow following the baking instructions for Sculpey Bake Shop®. Allow the rainbow to cool completely. Add the lanyard clip.
