Liquid Sculpey® Colorful and Friendly Bug Window Clings

Getting Started:

Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured Liquid Polymer Clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately. - Stir Liquid Sculpey® completely. Thin with Sculpey® Liquid Clay Softener as needed - Wash hands after use (we have found that baby wipes work best)

Baking:

•It is important to use oven thermometer when you bake the liquids so that you can ensure your oven is at the correct temperature.•Do not microwave the liquids. They must be baked in a Preheated oven at 275 ºF (130 ºC) for liquid colors and 300 ºF (149 ºC) for Clear – Do not exceed baking temperatures.•If your piece is less than 1/4” bake for 15 minutes. For thicker pieces that are 1/4” or above bake for 30 minutes. •If your liquid project has become yellowed or discolored in the oven, when you remake it, tent it by placing either – folding an index card in half and placing your project under it or by using aluminum foil over your project.

Place a bumble bee drawing under a piece of glass.

Outline all the main lines with Black Liquid Sculpey® (LS). Bake the Black outline following the baking instructions for LS. Do NOT remove from the glass after baking.

When the outlines are completely cool, fill the Yellow areas with drops of Yellow LS. Under fill the areas and move the LS to the edges with a toothpick. Excess LS can be wiped away from the toothpick with paper towel.

Fill in the wings with White LS and the head with Black LS. Move the LS in these areas to the edges with a toothpick. Bake the completed bumble bee following the baking instructions for LS. When the bee is completely cool, it can be removed from the glass and applied to a window by gently peeling it off of the glass.

Place a dragonfly drawing under a piece of glass. Trace the outlines with Black LS. Bake the Black outline following the baking instructions for LS.

When the outlines are completely cool, fill the head with Blue LS. Fill the wings with randomly spaced dots of Blue LS.

Add White LS dots between the Blue dots.

Dip the tip of a toothpick into the liquids and swirl them around just partially blending the colors.

Bake the dragonfly following the baking instructions for LS. When the dragonfly is completely cool, it can be removed from the glass and applied to a window by gently peeling it off of the glass.

Place aladybug drawing under a piece of glass. Outline all the main lines with Black LS. Bake the Black outline following the baking instructions for LS

When the outlines are completely cool, fill the wings with dots of Red LS. Use a toothpick to move the Red dots around and fill the areas.

Fill the head with Black LS. Bake the ladybug following the baking instructions for LS. When the ladybug is completely cool, it can be removed from the glass and applied to a window by gently peeling it off of the glass.

Place the butterfly drawing under a piece of glass. Outline all the main lines with Black LS. Bake the Black outline following the baking instructions for LS. When the Black lines are completely cool, add a line of Red LS just inside each wing.

Add lines of Yellow LS next.

Add lines of Blue LS next. Then finally add White LS lines.

Dip a toothpick into the White LS and drag it out through the Blue, the Yellow, and the Red. Pick up the toothpick and wipe it off with paper towel. Repeat the dragging process 4 to 5 times in each wing.

Fill the body with Black LS. Bake the butterfly following the baking instructions for LS. When the butterfly is completely cool, it can be removed from the glass and applied to a window by gently peeling it off of the glass.
