Getting Started:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Work ‘n Bake Clay Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.
Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.

Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.
Getting started:
-Gently stir the bottle of liquid bakeable medium.-Wash hands after use (we have found that baby wipes work best)
Baking
-It is important to use oven thermometer when you bake the liquids so that you can ensure your oven is at the correct temperature. -Do not microwave the liquids. They must be baked in a Preheated oven at 300 ºF (149 ºC) for liquid colors and 325 ºF (163 ºC) for Clear – Do not exceed baking temperatures. -If you are using the liquids as a glaze or in thin pieces less than ¼ inch bake for 15 minutes. For thicker pieces that are ¼ or above bake for 30 minutes. -If you are baking on a ceramic tile then you will also need to bake at 30 minutes since it will take longer for the tile to heat up. This will ensure the proper fusing of the liquid material. -When baking these liquids you may experience some vapors or a slight odor. This is not harmful and will not affect your creation. -If your liquid project has become yellowed or discolored in the oven, when you remake it, tent it by placing either – folding an index card in half and placing your project under it or by using aluminum foil over your project.

Using ¼ block of white, black and silver condition your clay and place side by side overlapping the edges to create a Skinner blendFold in half and using an acrylic roller or conditioning machine roll the layers together to blend the colours, fold in the same direction each time repeating this step until you are happy with your blend.

Take your blend, using your roller or conditioning machine roll into a long thin strip of clay. Fold the clay as shown to form a block. Cut the block in half and place on top of each other to make a graduated design

Select your texture sheet and using well conditioned black clay press firmly into the patterned sheet. Using a blade, remove the excess clay bit by bit until the pattern is revealed in the grooves of the texture sheet.

Cut 2 slices from your graduated block of clay and place on top of the sheet making sure you cover enough of the design to produce 2 earrings. Press firmly, carefully remove the clay to reveal the pattern.

Cut in half and trim to neaten the edges, use a small round cutter or a drinking straw to cut a hole to thread your findings through. Bake according to the manufacturer’s instructions.When baked, leave to cool then using the liquid clay, fill all or some of the grooves made by the texture sheet. Use paper towels to remove the excess from the surface and make sure the hole is clear. Bake for a second time to set the liquid clay, see the instructions for Liquid Bakeable Medium.When baked, lightly sand the surface to remove liquid clay from the clay surface.Add a jump ring through the hole, a 10mm rubber jump ring and an earring finding to complete your design
