Project Instructions
- Getting Started:
Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth. Wash hands after use. Wrap any extra clay in then wrapper and then put in an air tight container.
Begin by taking the Porcelain White clay and rolling it into a total of 16 balls. To make the flower you will be needing five smaller balls, five medium sized, and six larger balls.
Turn each of the balls into a petal by flattening them down with your fingers and forming a teardrop shape.
Use a ball of cling wrap and press it onto the clay to add some texture. Curve up the edges of each petal.
Start forming the flower by layering the six large petals together in a circle.
Next layer on the five medium petals, and the five small petals.
Take some more of the clay and shape four even smaller petals. Bunch these together. Add this to the top of the flower to complete the design. Allow the clay to fully air dry.
Once the clay has hardened, take two different shades of chalk pastel and use a fluffy paint brush to add color to the very tips of the petals. Begin with a light color and then add shading with a dark color.
