Fold up a Mandala fortune-cookie style and you have a lacy doily dangly creation.
TIME TO COMPLETION: 60 minutes
Designer’s Note - When I’m all finished with a project, I fill my mandala mold with any remaining tinted LS and bake the pieces to save for later projects. Then I bake the silicone cups with the residue of the LS in them. When they are completely cool, the residue can be peeled out of the cups and discarded. Wipe out the cups with paper towels and store to use again later. The silicone cups I use are from the baking department and designed for use as cupcake liners.

Project Instructions
- Getting Started with Liquid Sculpey:
- Baking:
In a silicone baking liner place Silver Liquid Sculpey® (LS). Add a drop of Black LS and stir completely. Add more Black as needed to make an antique silver color.
Fill the largest mandala shape in the mold with the tinted Silver LS. Squeegee off excess and put it back in the silicone cup. Bake the mold following the baking instructions for LS.
Allow the mold to cool completely and then release the mandala by gently flexing the mold. Repeat to make a second mandala
To make the folded shape, fold the mandala in half matching the petals opposite each other. Hook the petals together with a small oval shaped jump ring.
Place a crystal bead on a head pin. Trim the head pin to within 3/4” of the bead.
Bend a loop in the tail of the head pin with round nose pliers.
Attach the loop to the little oval jump ring.
With the bead in the South position, grasp the petals at the East and West with your fingertips and gently fold them toward each other. Secure them together with the large oval jump ring and attach the ear wire to the jump ring as well
Repeat to assemble the second earring.
