    Getting Started with Liquid Sculpey®:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured Liquid Polymer Clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately. - Stir Liquid Sculpey® completely. Thin with Sculpey® Liquid Clay Softener as needed - Wash hands after use (we have found that baby wipes work best)

    Baking:
  • It is important to use oven thermometer when you bake the liquids so that you can ensure your oven is at the correct temperature.
  • Do not microwave the liquids. They must be baked in a Preheated oven at 275 ºF (130 ºC) for liquid colors and 300 ºF (149 ºC) for Clear – Do not exceed baking temperatures.
  • If your piece is less than 1/4” bake for 15 minutes. For thicker pieces that are 1/4” or above bake for 30 minutes.
  • If your liquid project has become yellowed or discolored in the oven, when you remake it, tent it by placing either – folding an index card in half and placing your project under it by using aluminum foil over your project.

Here’s a tip for baking perfectly in silicone molds. Dampen a dish towel with water and wring out as much of the water as you can. Fold the damp towel so that the molds can sit level on top of it. The damp towel will slow down the curing process so that the LS will cure evenly throughout and avoid warping.
Make sure the Clear Liquid Sculpey® (LS) is stirred really well. Add Clear LS to the bottom 1/3 of the bullet shape in the 3D Jewelry Mold. Tap the mold on the work surface to release air bubbles.

Using the stir stick from the Silicone Mixing Set, add one scoop full of gold glitter to the Clear LS.

Stir the glitter into the LS well with the stir stick. Also, push the point of the stir stick all the way down into the tip of the bullet shape to make sure there is no trapped air in there. Clean the stir stick with paper towel. Tap the mold on the work surface again to release air bubbles.

Fill the bullet shape to level with Emerald Metallic LS. Tap the mold one more time to release air bubbles.

Thread the double connector onto one of the metal rods from the 3D Jewelry Mold Set.

Dip the connector into the Emerald LS submerging the bottom loop. Place the metal rod in the little brackets on top of the mold to keep it in place.
Check the position of the connector in the LS. You can adjust it with the tip of the Needle Tool if necessary.

Bake the mold following the baking instructions for Liquid Sculpey®. Allow the mold to cool completely before handling.

When you are ready to de-mold the pendant, squeeze the mold to create a gap between the baked clay piece and the side of the mold. Drop one drop of Sculpey® Clay Thinner & Softener into the gap. Drag the liquid around the edge of the baked shape by inserting the Needle Tool into the gap and pulling it between the shape and the mold.

Carefully squeeze the shape out of the mold. Clean the shape with paper towel.

Add the triangle connector with a small jump ring using flat nose pliers.

Cut the necklace chain in half directly opposite the clasp. Connect the chains to the triangle connector using the remaining two jump rings with flat nose pliers.
