Project Instructions
- Getting Started:
Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.
- Baking:
Unless you can find a Black grapevine wreath you will need to spray paint a regular brown one with Black spray paint. Make sure you do this in a very well ventilated area. Outdoors if possible. Allow it to dry completely.
Make a nice Halloween bow with your ribbon and wire. Attach the bow to the wreath. Set aside while you make your little ghosts to decorate it.

Cut out a little ghost template from some thick paper. A good size for the ghost would be 2” long by about 1 ½” wide.
Condition 1/4 block of Original Sculpey. Flatten and run this through your Sculpey Clay Machine on the #1 setting. Check to make sure there aren’t many air bubbles in the clay. If there are you can fold the sheet in half and run it through again until there aren’t any bubbles.
Lay the prepared clay sheet flat and cut out 10 ghost shapes using the ghost template that you made.
Lay these on your baking sheet. Make 5 ghosts pointing right and 5 ghost pointing left. Smooth edges.
Bake according to package directions and allow to cool.

Use a fine tip Black permanent marker and make various fun faces on all your ghosts.
Heat up your glue gun.
Arrange the ghosts on the wreath the way you want them. Alternate their flying positions from left to right and alternate the face types.
Once you are happy with your arrangement go ahead and glue your ghosts onto your wreath. Once the glue is dry remove any glue strings.
