Sculpey® III Glow Butterfly Bracelet

Start with clean hands and work area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 °F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4 â€ (6 mm) of thickness. For best baking results use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURES OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Baking should be completed by an adult. Wash hands after use.ASSEMBLE ALL PIECES BEFORE BAKING.

Make two logs, one from Glow Orange and one from Glow Yellow. Twist the logs together to marble the colors. You may have to twist the logs, fold them in half and continue twisting to get the color you want.In your hand form seven beads. Use the Needle Tool to create holes in the beads to string the elastic string through.

Using the Red clay, form 8 beads (smaller than the Glow beads you just made). These will go in between the Glow beads on the bracelet. Use the Needle Tool to create holes in the beads to string the elastic cord through.

To Make the Butterfly:Take a small amount of Glow Blue and shape into a slightly tapered log for the body. Take a small amount of Glow Green and shape two larger tear drops (flattened) and two smaller tear drops (flattened)for the wings. Take a small amount of Glow Orange and make six small flattened tear drops and two small balls flattened to decorate the wings. Use the flat end of the tool to embellish. Assemble the wings and attach them to the body.

Bake according to the directions above and allow to cool. Assemble the bracelet as shown using elastic string.
