Project Instructions
Start with clean hands and work area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 °F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4 †(6 mm) of thickness. For best baking results use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURES OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Baking should be completed by an adult. Wash hands after use.ASSEMBLE ALL PIECES BEFORE BAKING
Create the body of the bug by making a oval shape.
Create two small balls for the eyes.Create two small tapered snakes for the pinchers.Create six thin snakes for the legs.Set these aside.
To form the head-Create two balls similar in size. Slightly flatten and stack on top of each other. Attach this stack to the front of the body.To make the spots for the body-Create eight small balls and flatten them. Place the spots on the body as shown.
Create eight small balls and place these on top of the Glow Blue spots.
Assemble the rest of the bug as shown. Bake according to the directions above and allow to cool.
