Wow! I get to introduce a NEW color every week this month! (And I’m doing 4 mixes instead of the usual 3). So, I’m starting with the newest member of my beloved Sculpey Soufflé™ family. This is Sculpey Soufflé™ Sedona, a deep, rich terra cotta color that is destined to be one of my favorite go-to colors. Rich and earthy with a touch a dark mystery – that’s my Sedona.
I teamed the Sculpey Soufflé™ Sedona up with Sculpey Premo™ Gold first because I was interested to see what rich warm tone the mix would create. Well, meet bright Copper PennyQ
Next, I teamed the Sedona up with Sculpey Premo™ Grey Granite and the 1:1 looks a lovely warm red granite tone, don’t you think?
I had to mix with a couple of my favorite Soufflé™ colors, so here is the 1:1 mix with Sedona and Pistachio (a favorite wild card of mine). Oh look! A great warm peach tone! Perfect for Summer don’t you think?
Finally, the mysterious Sea Glass got a chance to show its stuff in a 1:1 mix with Sedona to create one of the most interesting mixes I think I’ve ever created. First glance, it is a cool grey. Can you see on the left side tiny hints of the Sea Glass? The right side shows faint reddish hints in the grey background. This clay was well mixed but I’m fascinated with how it photographed.
Soufflé™ Sedona is definitely going to be a staple in my slab work, and my hatbands.
