The top row of the large photo contains the 3 colors that I'm mixing with the featured color on the far right. The bottom 3 colors are the colors mixes created by mixing the color directly above with equal portions (1:1) of the featured color.
Who doesn’t love a rich red tone in their clay stash? Sculpey has certainly provided us with one in the new Sculpey Soufflé™ Chili Pepper – and just in time for those artists who love to create for the holidays. Well, it’s no surprise that the color mixes are all in the warm ranges, but I did have a couple surprises.
Soufflé™ Pistachio is my favorite “wild card” color in the Soufflé™ range and it normally yields unexpected results in my mixes. This time the surprise came from how much the Chili Pepper dominated! I love this warm peachy tone that the 1:1 combination yielded.
My second surprise came with the Cornflower/Chili Pepper mix. The 1:1 combination yielded a brown tone that I’m calling FudgePOP. It would be a really nice background color for a layer of green and orange toned leaves or delicate light green leaves and light purple florals?
I teamed all the leftover color mixes into a mix that I did a Sutton Slice with a Soufflé™ Racing Green mix for my earrings. I went out and bought a new top to match yesterday!
