The top row of the large photo contains the 3 colors that I'm mixing with the featured color on the far right. The bottom 3 colors are the colors mixes created by mixing the color directly above with equal portions (1:1) of the featured color.
Oh YES! It's another year of introducing a new color each month. I love to just how these new colors interact when mixed with the standard colors. This month's Soufflé™ Buttercream is a perfect way to tame a bolder color and soften it without looking like an obvious pastel. My favorite is the Pistachio/Buttercream 1:1 mix, but I've nicknamed all the mix colors as a palette of "smooth operators".
Now, want a peak at my experiment with using 1 part of each color with 4 parts of the Buttercream? I would call these sophisticated pastels.
And YES, of course I made a pair of earrings with the leftover mix colors! I like the soft tone of the Buttercream in the background.
