Polymer clay and stickers combine to form these unique bracelets that are easy to make and fun to wear.
Getting Started
Preheat oven to 275 °F. Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. Condition all clay by kneading until it’s soft and smooth or running it through the Clay Conditioning Machine for several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
Step 1
Condition the white clay and roll a sheet through the Clay Conditioning Machine on the thickest setting. Make sure you have a sheet that is at least 8” in length. Roll another sheet of clay that is also at least 8” long and place on top of the first sheet.
Step 2
Use the Super Slicer blade to cut a long strip from your thick sheet of clay that is ¾” wide and 8” long. Be careful to stretch the clay as you cut the strip.
Step 3
Wrap the length of clay gently around your empty soda can overlapping the ends. Cut through both layers at a 45 degree angle and remove the excess pieces of clay. You can use either your finger or the flat side of the blade to smooth the seam.
Step 4
Repeat steps 1-3, adding 2-3 bracelets per soda can.
Step 5
Stand the can upright in the oven so the bracelet doesn’t touch your baking surface. Bake according to the instructions above. Allow the cans to cool to where they are still warm and gently slide the bracelets off the cans.
Step 6
Use the small index card to apply a thin layer of the Translucent Liquid Sculpey to a small area of the baked bracelet. Place a sticker over the Translucent Liquid Sculpey.
Step 7
Continue to collage your stickers into place, covering the top, side edges and inside band of the bracelet. You can use the cut patterned background from the sticker sheet to fill small areas of the design.
Step 8
Once you have the bracelet covered with the stickers set to the site for about 30 minutes. Place bracelets on a baking surface and put back in oven for about 8 minutes to cure the Translucent Liquid Sculpey. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
Step 9
Apply a thin coat of the Sculpey Satin Glaze to finish the bracelet, let dry completely.
