Getting Started

Preheat oven to 275 °F. Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. Condition all clay by kneading until it’s soft and smooth or running it through the Clay Conditioning Machine for several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.

Step 1 Shapes

Ball - Take a lump of clay and roll it in your palms until its smooth.

Step 2 Shapes

Teardrop - Start with a ball of clay and then taper it on one end with your fingers.

Step 3 Shapes

Coil - Roll a lump of clay until it¹s long and skinny.

Step 1

Form the rainbow using thin coils of Red, Red Hot Red, Yellow, Green, Turquoise and Blue. The entire rainbow should measure no more than 2" across.

Step 2

With 3 Green teardrop shape pieces form the shamrock and attach to the left side of the rainbow. With a very small teardrop shape piece of Green, form the stem and attach to the base of the shamrock.

Step 3

With a ½" ball of Black clay mold the pot using your thumb as a form. Flatten the pot slightly and attach to the right side of the rainbow.

Step 4

Flatten tiny balls of Gold clay to form the gold coins in the pot.

Step 5

Bake at 275 °F for 15 minutes.

Step 6

When Rainbow is completely cooled, attach a pinback.
