Make these colorful patterned erasers that really work.
Getting Started
Preheat oven to 250 °F. Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. Condition all clay by kneading until it’s soft and smooth. Have an adult help you with baking your project.
Step 1
Roll equal length logs of each of the colors. Press the logs together sides touching. Continue pressing them together until a triangle shape is formed.
Step 2
Cut the length of triangle into 6 pieces.
Step 3
Press all six sides into the middle. Lay the cane down and press down on the top side. Turn the cane 1/6 turns and press again. Continue turning and pressing until you've pressed all the sides inward. Now you can gently roll the cane to smooth the outsides and reduce it to the desired diameter.
Step 4
Because Amazing Eraser Clay is softer clay it might be harder to slice the cane. If the cane is too soft to slice place it to the side for a while to “rest”. Letting the clay “rest” gives it a change to firm back up making it easier to slice.
Step 5
Bake at to 250 °F for 10 minutes.
