Project Instructions
    Getting Started:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven-Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.

Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.

    Baking:
Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). After you are done creating; for best results bake clay on an oven-proof surface such metal, aluminum foil, an index card or the Sculpey® Clay Mat at 275°F (130 °C) for 30 minutes per 1/4" (6 mm) thickness according to package directions. Oven safe glass or ceramic surfaces are also acceptable for baking; however please note that the baking times may take longer as the glass or ceramic surfaces take longer to heat up. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.
Sheet 1/2 bar Latte Soufflé through the pasta machine on the thickest setting. Cut out two 3/4” circles from the edge of the sheet. Set these two circles aside for now.
Make sure you have enough Latte remaining to cut out one 1-3/4” circle but do not actually cut the circle yet.
Pinch off little random sized bits of Igloo and press them flat onto the sheet of Latte.
Pinch off little random sized bits of Cowboy and Turnip and press them flat onto the sheet of Latte as well. Roll over the speckled sheet of clay to make sure the bits are pressed in nice and flat.
Cut out the 1-3/4” circle from the speckled sheet. Cut out the center of the speckled circle using the 3/4” cutter.
Cut the speckled circle in half using the Super Slicer.
Sheet 1/4 block of Igloo through the pasta machine on the thickest setting. Sprinkle some graphite mica flakes over the top of the Igloo sheet. Fold and press the Igloo sheet back through the pasta machine several times to randomly incorporate the graphite mica flake into the Igloo.
Cut two 1” circles from the speckled Igloo. Here is a look at the layout of the earrings.
Arrange all the pieces so they are almost touching each other. Poke holes with the needle tool as shown so that the pieces can be hooked together with jump rings later.
Bake the pieces following the baking instructions for Soufflé. When the pieces are completely cool, assemble them with jump rings as shown. Glue an ear post to the back of each of the top pieces and allow to dry completely.
