BASIC INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Start with clean hands and work area. Work on a glass or metal surface, disposable foil or wax paper. Do not use uncured clay on unprotected furniture or finished surfaces.
2. Knead clay for 2 minutes before making project.
3. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 130° C (275° F for U.S. Consumers) for 15 minutes per 6mm (¼") of thickness. Baking should be done by an adult. Do not microwave. Do not over bake. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
4. Wash hands after use.
Directions:
1. Roll small White pear shapes for head and body. Roll 4 White tapered logs for legs. Flatten front paws slightly. With your thumb, gently press upwards on wider end of each back leg to form feet. Roll 2 long White teardrop shapes and press flat for ears. Roll small White cone for tail and bend slightly.
2. Roll 2 small Black balls and 6 smaller Black balls; press to bottoms of feet for paw pads. Pinch off tiny bits of Black clay and press flat into irregular "spots." Press spots to all puppy parts, including head, but don't cover eye/nose area. Indent eye holes with pointed end of modeling tool. Roll 2 tiny Black balls for eyes and press into holes. Roll tiny Black oval for nose and press to face. Score 2 toe lines in each paw and a vertical mouth line below nose.
3. Roll 2 skinny Red ropes and twist together for scarf. Sit body up on work surface with wide end at bottom. Press head and narrow ends of back legs to body. Wrap scarf around neck with ends at front; trim with modeling tool. Press front arms to sides of body over scarf.
4. Roll a tall Red cone. Bend top of cone to one side to make hat shape. Roll a White log and press it flat. Wrap clay around bottom of hat. Roll a medium-sized White ball and press it to tip of hat. Roll 2 small Green teardrops and press flat to make leaves. Score lines in leaves with toothpick and press leaves to hat. Roll 3 tiny Red balls and press to center of leaves in a cluster. Gently press hat to puppy's head. Press narrow ends of ears to sides of hat.
5. Bake clay according to Basic Instructions.
